In Spain, afternoon siesta is held, especially in summer. The siesta usually lasts from 2 pm to 5 pm, but may vary locally, and replaces the lunch break as is common in the rest of Europe. Many shops are closed during the siesta. Normal working hours/school hours are different than in Northern European countries and vary greatly by region.
