Brazzaville is the capital of the Republic of Congo and is located on the right bank of the Congo River. The city is 1,600 meters from Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This is the second smallest distance between two capitals of independent countries in the world; only Rome and Vatican City are closer together.
