Letland

The parliament in Latvia is called Saeima and consists of one chamber with 100 members. The 100 seats of parliament to be distributed are elected every four years by direct elections on the first Saturday of October, after which parliament elects the president. He then elects the prime minister. Executive power rests with the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers. The Saeima is elected for a term of four years.
