Benin

Benin is a country in Africa. It is bordered to the west by Togo, to the northwest by Burkina Faso, to the northeast by Niger and to the east by Nigeria. In the south it is located on the Bay of Benin, part of the Gulf of Guinea.

In Benin you will find the very rare wild African elephant and the wild West African giraffe. In addition, numerous different species of monkeys, hyenas, lions, panthers, elephants, hippos, buffalos and antelopes live there. The bird population is very rich, there are large numbers of storks, cranes and marabou walking around. Interesting fact: in addition to rice with sauce, people in Benin also eat crocodile, snake, antelope and monkey!
