Republiek Soedan

Republic of Sudan, also called Republic of Sudan, is a country in Africa. It borders Egypt and Libya to the north, Chad and the Central African Republic to the west, South Sudan to the south, Ethiopia and Eritrea to the east, and the Red Sea to the northeast.

Sudan is bisected from south to north by the River Nile, the White Nile and the Blue Nile. In the capital, Khartoum, the White Nile and the Blue Nile merge into the Nile proper, which flows from there through Egypt to the Mediterranean Sea. The most fertile areas of the country are located along these rivers, and this is also where the greatest concentration of population is located.
