Oost-Timor

The Democratic Republic of East Timor is a country in Southeast Asia. The country consists of the eastern half of the island of Timor, the islands of Atauro and Jaco, and Oecussi, a political exclave of East Timor, on the western side of the island, enclosed by West Timor. West Timor belongs to Indonesia.

The administrative languages of East Timor are Portuguese and Tetun. In the eastern part of East Timor, Fataluku has become the common language. Each group also has a different language. Makoewa is spoken in certain villages.
