“Every once in a while someone crosses your path where you think: ‘what a vibrant personality’. That happens in your daily life, ‘in real life’ and sometimes you see someone in a movie. That’s how I saw the images with Kirvan Fortuin in which he sketches his life in Rotterdam. His soul is bursting with inspiration: what a radiant, lively and energetic personality! He sketches the difference between his existence here and that in South Africa, where he comes from. How horrible is it to to learn that this sparkling life has come to an end.”
