Zonta 2022

14-11-2022

Violence against women and girls is one of the most common human rights violations and a global threat. It knows no national or cultural boundaries; it takes place at home, in the workplace and in open spaces, affecting millions of women and girls in peacetime and in conflict.

Zonta’s ongoing efforts are demonstrated through numerous local projects and programs and through partnerships with the United Nations and its agencies. Zonta carries out impactful actions to combat violence against women and gender inequality.

The Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women campaign was launched in 2012 and is sadly still needed. The campaign calls for local, national and international actions to influence the making and implementation of laws that protect women and end violence against women. The Flag Parade supports Zonta by hoisting its banners leading up to and during the 16 Days of Activism (November 25-December 10, 2022).
