Gambia

The Gambia is a country in Africa that borders Senegal and the Atlantic Ocean. The country consists of a fairly narrow strip along the Gambia River. The Gambia is about 250 kilometers long and only a few tens of kilometers wide.

About 450 different species of birds have been counted in The Gambia so far, and new species are still being discovered. The snake-eating laughing falcon was observed for the first time in 1995. Some species are only found in The Gambia. There are therefore no almost ordinary safaris in The Gambia, but bird safaris.
