SONG FESTIVAL FACES | The Eurovision Song Contest is the perfect time to celebrate the diversity of Rotterdam. In May, 41 countries come together here, but the rest of the year is no different. Time to ask our fellow Rotterdammers about their country of birth. Today: Nicholas Holmes from the UK.

He lived in Hong Kong, Norway, America, Indonesia, London and on the British island of Isle of Man. Nicholas Holmes, 32, can rightly be called a globetrotter. It was Daniëlle from Oud-Beijerland who made sure that he now karts through Rotterdam on his bicycle and has acquired a house in the Liskwartier. They met in Indonesia and not much later he moved to the Netherlands for her.
