Delegation hosts Yasna en Sam – Moldavia

Yasna and Sam are two friends from Amsterdam. The Eurovision fans host the delegation from Moldova. “I wanted a less common country. And I speak some Romanian”, says Sam. That means that he is now waving the Moldovan flag. “It is divided vertically into the colors blue, yellow and red. The coat of arms of the country is in the center with a bird and aurochs on it. This emblem makes the flag quite recognizable.”

In recent months, the duo has delved into the country, as neither of them have ever been there. What immediately strikes them and appeals to them in their research is the country’s largest export product: wine. “That suits me!” Yasna laughs.

She is a huge Eurovision fan. In 2017 she was present at the final and she will never forget that spectacle. “The grandeur, the flags, the countries. When I look at myself, I see more of a European than a Dutchman. That suits Eurovision.”
