On Monday 30 May, Rotterdam VII, the newest cruise ship of Holland America Line, was christened in a windless Rotterdam. Princess Margriet acted as mother of ceremonies, in the presence of, among others, mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb, director of Cruise Port Rotterdam Mai Elmar and captain of Rotterdam VII, Werner Timmers. The Vlaggenparade raised the Holland America Line flags especially for the occasion.
